Accounts and Administration Assistant, Full Time

Reporting to: Accounts Manager
Location: Estate Office, Dell of Rothiemurchus, flexible remote working considered
Closing date: 9 am on Monday 1st November, with interviews on 4th & 5th November

Salary: Depending on experience

Role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our small, friendly team, based in the Estate Office, although flexible remote based working will be considered.

You will provide accounts and administration support to the business and assist in the delivery and achievement of outcomes across several estate departments. In-house training will be provided and opportunities to develop knowledge and skills will be nurtured.

Tasks
The role will include a wide range of tasks including taking responsibility for:
• Inverdruie accounts
• Reconciling daybooks weekly and investigating any banking differences
• Sales ledger and credit control for all businesses including daily reconciliation of receipts and reporting
• Office petty cash
• Business cash handling and credit card systems
• Preparation of monthly daybooks and banking sheets
• Data protection and IT security procedures
• Utility contracts
• Caravan Park administration
• Monthly on account journals

In addition, you will assist the accounts department with:
• HR Support
• Preparation of Vat Returns
• Preparation of Monthly Managers Reports
• Preparation of quarterly and annual reports
• Development of accounting systems
• Monitoring of expenditure against budgets
• Cashflow forecasts
• Supplier payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing invoices
• Payroll
• Assist the Estate in all appropriate areas e.g. when short staffed or for gaining wider experience.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:
• Experience in Accounting
• Highly motivated to provide a flexible service to both internal departments and external customers
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Data entry and Numerical skills
• Accuracy and good attention to detail
• Team player
• Discretion and a respect for confidentiality
• Focused on finding solutions
• Working experience of Microsoft Office packages, in particular, Word, Excel & Databases

Desirable Experience, Skills and Attributes:
• Countryside interest / background
• Full driving licence.

Property Checker, Hidden Highland Retreats

Hidden Highland Retreats manage five (soon to be six) luxury self-catered properties on Rothiemurchus. This role involves travelling to (usually 2) properties on a changeover day (always Mondays and/or Fridays) once our cleaning team have left, to prepare and check it for our guests. You will ensure all stock levels and guest items are correct and well presented and that absolutely everything is in working order, from lightbulbs to TV remotes. We are looking for someone who has an impeccable eye for detail, is pro-active, self-reliant and great at problem-solving.

Estimated 4-6 hours per week to begin with, plus travel time. All training will also be paid. Full driving licence and own car essential.
