Update: Whilst our visitors have been away Rothiemurchus Ranger Service has continued to care for this special place. The Ranger Activities are being revised to minimize COVID 19 risk and we expect to be Feeding the Deer, Visiting the Hairy Coos and other guided tours later in July. We will post our proposed opening dates very soon. Take care.
Join one of our friendly and knowledgeable Rangers to feed the Red Deer hinds on our deer farm.
After meeting the Ranger at the Triangle Car park, you will either hop into the Land Rover with them or follow them in convoy to the deer farm. Once at the farm, it could be up to a 10-15 minute walk to the main deer herd, who will be very keen to see you (especially as you will be helping to give them food!)
Please note – apart from the drive to the deer farm – there will be some walking on the tour. Participants should wear suitable outdoor clothing, underfoot can be muddy so boots or stout shoes are recommended. Sorry no dogs – they frighten the deer!
Meeting point – Triangle Car park – 10 minutes before session, (please meet the Ranger and they will take you in the Land Rover or you may have to follow the Land Rover to the farm in your own vehicle).
