Rothiemurchus Falconry – Bird of Prey Experience

Come and fly a selection of majestic birds of prey with Rothiemurchus Falconry, near Aviemore. This family-friendly activity is a must for anyone wanting a truly unique experience.

You will be met at the meeting point in the Woodland car park (details in your booking confirmation), and follow in your own vehicle to our flying area.

Once at the flying area, you will be given an introduction by our highly experienced Falconers, Jonny and Daisy, and introduced to the birds one at a time. You will get to know their individual personalities, facts about them, and their conservation status. Then you will get your own gauntlet and the chance to free fly up to 4 raptors. These include Glen the Barn Owl, Fiddich the Great Grey Owl, our male Harris Hawk, Loco the CaraCara, Stiorra our White-Tailed Eagle and Marahute our Golden Eagle!

Children aged 5-12 will be able to fly 2-3 of the smaller birds, while those over 12 will have an opportunity to fly one of the world’s largest Eagles!

Make sure your camera is ready to capture the moments that will make this experience a memory of a lifetime.

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

You will be provided with all equipment required to fly the birds.

PARTICIPANTS TO TAKE

Rothiemurchus Falconry runs all year round and in all weathers. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing that might get a bit wet or muddy, strong footwear such as wellies or boots.

AGE

Minimum age 5.

Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

MEETING POINT

Rothiemurchus (your booking confirmation will advise of the exact meeting location).

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Meeting Point: Woodland Car park, Rothiemurchus PH22 1QH. WHAT 3 WORDS location: -skipped.relations.item

Own vehicle is required to follow Instructor to Falconry site.

Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes prior to the activity start time. In the event of late arrival, you may miss your activity booking and would not be eligible for a refund.

Strictly no dogs allowed in the flying arena.

ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

In the event of high winds, we may have to cancel your experience due to the safety of the Birds and Team. You will be notified and receive a full refund in this situation

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to change your booking or cancel your booking we require 24 hours notice in order for you to receive a full refund.

This activity requires a minimum of two participants to run. If the session does not run due to lack of numbers, you will receive a full refund.

£65 per person.
£236 Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children – under the age of 16). We require 24 hours notice in order for you to receive a full refund.
