Yoga Retreat – 1 Day


Enjoy the endless benefits of yoga, breathwork, cold water therapy at this one-day yoga retreat, which also includes lunch, hosted within the stunning setting of Rothiemurchus.


The 1-day retreat will begin with a friendly opening circle before an all-levels yoga class to mobilise, stretch, energise, and open the whole body and steady and calm the mind. You’ll get to enjoy the epic views of the Cairngorms from inside the Tipi – or on sunny days the group can practice on the lawn.

As a group, we’ll then walk to the Lochan Mor (the Lily Loch), approximately 30 mins each way, for a mini breathwork session to warm the body followed by an optional healing cold water dip. The cold water experience has numerous benefits – as the cold water stresses the system you’ll work with the breath to remain calm, building resiliency within your own nervous system to handle any life’s stresses. You’ll be supported by the group energy for this genuine life-enhancing experience. Warm up with some loving cacao loch side then head back to the tipi for a gorgeous lunch provided by Rothiemurchus. You’ll end with a restorative yoga session & Chime Sound Bath. This 6-hour nourishing wellness experience will no doubt leave you feeling refreshed and reconnected. Includes 2 yoga sessions, a guided walk and cold water dip, snacks, warm drinks and lunch.

0900 – 1030: Yoga
1100 – 1230: Walk & optional cold water dip
1300 – 1400 Lunch in Tipi
1400-1500: Restorative yoga, chime sound bath & closing

What’s Provided

Yoga mats, blocks, drying/changing robe, warm drinks and lunch (lunch will be vegetarian and gluten free), toilets/changing facilities

Participants to take

Yoga clothes – warm, comfortable layers

Swimming costume, large towel, wooly hat, neoprene gloves and socks (optional), warm clothes.

We will change into swimming costumes before the walk and change from swimming costumes to warm clothes at the loch. We’ll provide a large changing towel for drying off and changing with a bit of privacy.

Comfortable walking shoes for 1-hour walk.

Katie teaches a gently dynamic, uplifting style of yoga with options for everyone. She has taught yoga across Scotland, including for Edinburgh yoga studios, premier football teams and assisted on yoga teacher trainings. For the past few years she has specialised in yoga retreats – bringing people together for unforgettable life-changing experiences.  She has 700+ hours of teacher training and is certified through Yoga Alliance. Fully insured through Balens and has up to date First Aid Training.
